Preventing Windshield-area Rust on Series III XJ6 (1980-1987) Jaguars
The Series III XJ6 (1980-1987) has a chronic rust problem around the windshield. This is caused by water getting trapped in between the rubber windshield seal and the car body. To prevent this, have your auto glass shop completely fill the void between the seal and the car body with their windshield sealant. We sell the front and rear windhield seals for your XJ6. After the rust is repaired you will need to replace your old seals with our new ones. This will prevent future rust problems.
